Savory crisps are an interesting and tasty way to serve an appetizer. Here is our version: lentil couscous crisps! The recipe is by our Francesca Lucisano, food blogger at Giallo Zafferano!
Ingredients for 12 crisps:
- 200 g of red lentil couscous;
- 400 ml of hot water;
- 2 tablespoons of Parmesan;
- 40 g of all-purpose flour;
- salt to taste
- extra virgin olive oil to taste
Preparation:
Pour the red lentil couscous into a bowl and add the hot water. Set aside and let it rest for 10 minutes.
After this time, fluff the couscous with a fork and add the salt, cheese, flour, and extra virgin olive oil.
Mix everything well until you get a consistent mixture.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and form the crisps by pouring a spoonful of mixture for each.
Flatten them well with the back of a spoon and bake in a preheated static oven at 200°C for 10 minutes. After this time, remove them from the oven and let them cool. Serve at the table.
