In 1904, Andrea Martino started the family business, developing what are still today the cornerstones of Martino: quality, history, reliability.

The war severely affected the company, damaged by bombings. Nicola Martino, son of Andrea, took over the business and began the reconstruction work.

Quality pasta factory
Within ten years, Nicola transformed the mill into a pasta factory. Thus, a solid brand was developed, focused on quality and destined to be known in Italy and abroad as synonymous with “quality pasta.”

Thanks to his great entrepreneurial skills, he initiates unprecedented industrial development and, with a forward-looking vision, eventually decides to convert production from pasta to couscous.
