Dark chocolate and pistachio couscous dessert

Looking for romantic ideas to serve on Valentine’s Day? Here’s a truly delicious one: a dessert with couscous and dark chocolate enriched with pistachio granules and a touch of chili pepper. The recipe is by our Fernanda Nicotra, food blogger at Giallo Zafferano!

Ingredients:

  • 100 g couscous
  • 120 g milk (hot)
  • 15 g butter (soft)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 40 g pistachio granules
  • 100 g chocolate (dark)
  • 50 g milk
  • as needed fresh fruit
  • 1 pinch of chili pepper

Preparation:

Place the couscous in a bowl, pour in the sugar and hot milk, cover, wait 10 minutes, add a pinch of salt, butter, pistachio granules, and mix with a fork to fluff the couscous.

Place the chocolate and milk in a small bowl, heat in the microwave (about 2 minutes) and stir to combine everything.
Once a glossy ganache is obtained, add a pinch of chili pepper.

Fill the glasses with couscous, pour the ganache over it, and refrigerate for about an hour. Once the chocolate coating has set, decorate with plenty of fruit to taste and serve.

Garnish with strawberries and red currants and pistachio granules. Store the dessert in the fridge, covered with plastic wrap for up to two days, and serve cold.
