Tuna-Stuffed Onions Gratinated with Couscous

Stuffed onions are a flavorful, modern dish that evokes the tastes and aromas of grandma’s kitchen. Here is our version. The recipe for Tuna-Stuffed Onions Gratinated with Couscous is by our food blogger Francesca Lucisano.

Ingredients for 2 people:

  • 100 g of chickpea couscous
  • 100 g of tuna in oil
  • 50 g of bread crumbs
  • 2 red onions
  • extra virgin olive oil to taste

Preparation:

In a bowl, mix the tuna with the bread crumbs, stir well, and add some extra virgin olive oil.

Hollow out the onions and fill them with the stuffing, then place them in an oiled baking dish and bake in a preheated static oven at 200°C for 20 minutes.

After this time, remove from the oven and add the couscous on top, then bake again on grill setting for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve at the table.
