Easter is approaching, and today we offer you a delicious recipe to serve as a dessert: chocolate couscous nests, perfect for using Easter egg chocolate. The recipe is by our Francesca Lucisano, food blogger at Giallo Zafferano.
Ingredients for 6 nests:
- 150 g of whole grain rice couscous;
- 150 g of dark chocolate;
- 50 ml of milk;
- colored candies to taste
Preparation:
Pour the couscous into a bowl and rehydrate it with warm milk. Stir gently and set aside to rest for 10 minutes. After this time, fluff it with a fork and separately melt the dark chocolate.
Combine it with the couscous and mix until fully incorporated. Place the bowl in the refrigerator to rest for 30 minutes.
After the resting time, take the bowl from the refrigerator and form the nests on a plate lined with parchment paper. Make a small indentation in the center and fill each nest with colored candies. Let them rest further in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
After this second resting period, serve the couscous nests.
